Richard Dawson, a chartered RIBA and ARB registered architect, brings up to the minute knowledge combined with over 40 years’ experience to every project.



Richard is particularly knowledgeable about sustainability issues with clients regularly commenting on his expertise. Creating buildings that are warm and energy efficient with low running costs is a passion. He’s enjoyed considerable success working on retrofits and refurbishments of listed properties and those in conservation areas, as well as creating low carbon and carbon negative homes.
Richard regularly liaises with other specialist providers and contractors to co-ordinate energy assessments, SAPs (Standard Assessment Procedure) and EPCs (Energy Performance Certificate, and ensure compliance with thermal standards, ecology, structural design and landscaping best practice and regulations.


Richard has experience in designing for disability and life-time homes to BS8300. As a member of the Access Association he provides a consultancy service for building owners and managers who want to make their built environment inclusive.
